As 2024 unfolds before us, it is impossible not to reflect on the extraordinary journey that 2023 was. 2023 was a testament to resilience, having a vision, and staying the course.
Over the past few years, I have achieved the goals that I set for myself in real-time, which were previously on my vision board. So 2023 was a year of living in the space I created for myself while focusing on my purpose so that physical manifestations could be possible.
Let me share some of the highlights that have left an indelible mark on my career journey and set the stage to go deeper in 2024.
Leading with Impact:
Atlanta REALTORS® Impact Foundation: It is a true privilege to serve as a Trustee for the Atlanta REALTORS® Impact Foundation (ARIF) was founded in 2022 to provide educational scholarships and community charitable giving on behalf of the Atlanta REALTORSⓇ. Joining the board of this inspiring foundation as a Trustee was a true honor.
Rolling off as the 2023 Chair, as I transition from my role as the 2023 Chair, I am thrilled to embark on a 3-year term, furthering the growth of this remarkable non-profit organization. Being able to contribute to their innovative initiatives and witnessing the positive ripples they create in our community and membership fills me with immense pride.
Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Georgia: Joining the Executive Leadership Team as Vice President of Membership at the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Georgia chapter is an exciting journey.
Excellence in Property Management is not only a cornerstone of my company Sovereign Realty & Management but a necessity for effective real estate investments.
So working alongside passionate colleagues to build a brighter future for the real estate management industry through education and leadership is genuinely fulfilling.
Gathering Wisdom, Building Bridges:
National Association of Realtors (NAR): My role as Chair of the Small Broker Committee will transition to Immediate Past Chair on this national committee this year.
Learning alongside peers within NAR has been an invaluable experience. Being in a position to elevate the strength of Small Brokers, NAR resources and implementing best practices to strengthen our industry is a continuous pursuit, and NAR serves as a beacon of guidance and foundation for our industry.
HouseATL: Real estate is local and collaborating with public and private organizations to improve housing affordability in Metro Atlanta has been a source of immense personal and professional satisfaction.
Seeing the positive impact on our community fuels my dedication to this vital cause and I’m delighted to continue in this role in 2024 as a Board Member and Co-Chair of the Homeownership Working Group.
Gratitude and Beyond:
Stepping into 2024, my heart overflows with gratitude. The unwavering support of friends, family, colleagues, our SOVEREIGN tribe and the KarenHatcher.com community continues to be the wind beneath my wings.
2023 was a testament to the power of resilience and the ability to focus, on building legacies, and the start of leaving a lasting impact.
Looking ahead, I’m filled with excitement for the journeys yet to come, and the countless opportunities to go even deeper, build even stronger, and create an even more #SovereignLife for myself and our communities.
