2025 Year-End Reflections: My Atlanta Real Estate Journey, Lessons & What’s Next

As 2025 drew to a close, I found myself in a rare moment of pause with a chance to reflect on a year that challenged, stretched, and ultimately inspired me as both a CEO and someone deeply invested in Atlanta’s future.

This reflection came into focus during a special year-end episode of the Atlanta REALTORS® Rundown. Sitting with Neel Midha, Helen Hernandez-Archer, and Andy Payne, we revisited the milestones, victories, and even the setbacks that shaped our work, our growth, and our city.

A Year That Changed Me and the Market

2025 was anything but predictable. Advocacy wins opened doors to greater housing access and protected property rights in neighborhoods I’ve watched transform over the years. Rapid market shifts forced us to rethink old strategies and double down on what matters most.

But the real story was our REALTOR® community coming together, pushing for education, supporting each other’s growth, and launching community initiatives with lasting impact.

Leadership, Growth, and Letting Go

For me, this year was a lesson in intentional leadership. Leading with purpose, managing with integrity, and always keeping community at the center. There were moments that stretched me, wins that reminded me why I love this work, and lessons that will shape my leadership for years to come.

This episode also marked a transition. Neel and I are passing the mic as hosts of the Atlanta REALTORS® Rundown. Hosting has been an honor, giving me the chance to amplify important conversations and contribute to our region’s professional growth.

Growth means making room for new perspectives. I am excited to see what’s next for the show and for myself as I pour more energy into building with intention at Sovereign Realty & Management and beyond.

Why This Reflection Matters

Whether you’re a developer, property manager, investor, or simply passionate about Atlanta’s future, I hope these reflections offer insight and encouragement as you prepare for 2026.

If this year taught me anything, it’s that our greatest opportunities often come from transitions. Change can be uncomfortable, but it’s where true growth happens.
